Farmer gunned down as he fled

A farmer was gunned down by motorcycle-riding suspects in Sariaya, Quezon, on Thursday.

Supt. Vilmor Manzano, Sariaya police chief, said victim Bernardo Fajarda was about to ride his motorcycle in Barangay Guisguis Talon when one of the two suspects shot him and missed.

Fajarda escaped and sought refuge but when he went back to his motorcycle, the gunmen attacked him again. Wounded, the victim tried to flee to a rice field where the suspects caught up with him. Delfin Mallari Jr., Inquirer Southern Luzon
