Mandauehanons avail of free dental services

More than 100 residents benefited from the free dental mission conducted by dental detachment of the 53rd Engineer Brigade of the Philippine Army led by Maj. Eisen Perdido in barangay Labogon, Mandaue City.

The activity was in celebration of the 57th founding anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Dental Service.

In cooperation with the Rotary Club of Mactan headed by president Ervilito Maderazo and the Mandaue Dental Chapter led by Dr. Adrian Pillones, 130 patients availed of tooth extraction, while 120 children received toothbrush kits.

The beneficiaries were also treated to a film showing and lectures on oral hygiene by Maj. Perdido, a dental surgeon and the proper way of toothbrushing by Mactan rotary club past president Rene Bano.

Labogon barangay captain Damaso Tumulak, barangay councilors and barangay health nutrition workers were also present to assist the Army dental team.
