Labangon residents avail of free dental services

MORE than 1,700 residents in barangay Labangon, Cebu City availed of free dental services during the dental mission last Feb. 11 and 12.

The activity was organized by the Kanagawa Alliance of Dental Volunteers Overseas (Kadvo), Juanito I. King Foundation Inc. (JIKFI) and the Philippine Dental Association – Cebu Chapter (PDA) for the residents of Labangon and nearby areas in celebration of the National Dental Health Month.

More than 170 Japanese and Filipino volunteers provided services such as extraction, oral prophylaxis, restoration and prosthetics. Antibiotics and pain relievers were also distributed to the beneficiaries composed mostly of adults.

Dental education and lecture on HIV-AIDS were also conducted by the dentists.
