CEBUANO footballers are once again making their presence felt, this time, by being part of the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) football varsity team that will be seeing action against defending champions University of the Philippines (UP) in the finals of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 75 men’s football tournament tomorrow.

UP is gunning for its third title while this is the first time that Ateneo advanced to the finals since late 2000.

Valentino Calvo and Jico Noel, both products of the Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) football program, have figured prominently for the Blue Eagles, especially during the semifinals against archrival La Salle. Ateneo clinched the finals ticket by prevailing via penalty shootout, 4-3.
