Plaza Miranda turns yellow as Team PNoy readies rally

MANILA, Philippines — A mix of yellow, white and orange t-shirts, banners and tarpaulins dominated the crowd at the historic Plaza in Quiapo, Manila  for the proclamation rally of Team PNoy on Tuesday.

Many of the crowd who showed up at the plaza were sporting yellow t-shirts, the signature color of President Benigno Aquino III’s family, while supporters of former Las Piñas Representative Cynthia Villar and Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano were wearing orange.

Supporters of Senator Loren Legarda and former MTRCB chairperson Grace Poe were wearing white and blue, and white and green tops, respectively.

Aside from the typical banners and tarpaulins sprouting around the plaza, two LED mobile vehicles were also posted in the area showing the audio visual presentation, advertisements, and jingles of re-electionist Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero.

Team PNoy’s TV ad repeatedly flashed on the big screens on stage as the crowd waited for the rally to begin.

Among the personalities came early at the rally site were Deputy Speaker Lorenzo “Erin” Tañada, Albay Governor Joey Salceda and former congressman Harry Angping.
