/ 10:53 PM January 28, 2013

A Quezon City court has set the arraignment next month of the security guard who single-handedly robbed a bank of P1.2 million last year.

Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 77 Judge Germano Francisco Legaspi directed the warden of the local jail to present Reynante Gante, 36, before the court on Feb. 5 following his arrest on Jan. 23 in Agusan del Sur.

Gante is accused of robbing Chinabank’s E. Rodriguez Sr. Boulevard branch where he used to work as a security guard. He then went into hiding until the police traced his whereabouts.—Jeannette I. Andrade
