ThreeSixty Cup starts today

CEBU’S FOREMOST grassroots basketball tournament, the Cebu Youth Basketball League (CYBL) ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup, kicks off its festivities today when it opens with a packed schedule this afternoon at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Fourteen games pervade the playdate today in what is expected to be a slam-bang affair. All in all, 46 teams are slated to compete in four different age groups along with the developmental level. These are: Division A of the Under 10, 13, 16 and 19 age groups, and Division B in the Under 13 and 16 age groups.

Coming back to try and retain their respective crowns are University of San Carlos (USC) South Campus (Under 10), Cebu Eastern College (Under 13), University of the Visayas (Under 16) and Adgers Sportswear (Under 19).

Now on its sixth season, the CYBL has been backstopped by ThreeSixty Pharmacy for the past two years.

“We’re very grateful for this partnership between two young and upcoming entities in ThreeSixty Pharmacy and the CYBL. It’s a big boost to age group grassroots basketball which we really need to push,” CYBL tournament director Rico Navarro said.

The age group tournament is the start-up activity of the year for the CYBL’s sixth season. Regular games of the elimination round will be played every weekend at the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu General Maxilom Avenue Campus Gym and other schools which will host their games such as CEC, Don Bosco and USJR. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
