MANILA, Philippines -The number of votes that will approve Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile’s motion to declare his post vacant could have been enough if Liberal Party senators were present, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said Tuesday as he alleged that the result was “pre-empted.”

“Maliwanag yan. Pinre-empt niya yan (Clearly, he was able to pre-empt his ouster),” Trillanes said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM, pertaining to the casting of votes on Enrile’s motion which was rejected by 11 senators.
