7 injured in 3-vehicle smashup in Quezon City

Seven people were injured in a three-vehicle smashup involving a tourist bus, a passenger jeepney and a tricycle on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Traffic investigator PO3 Rodrigo Versosa of the Quezon City Police District’s Traffic Sector 5 said that jeepney passengers Junet Estioco, Carmen Gabreque, Ma. Elizabeth Picasio, Jennifer Inocencio, Fatima Crisostomo, Jaime de Leon and Sadungdong Alipio were rushed to East Avenue Medical Center for treatment.

According to him, the jeepney, driven by Michael Dagok, was traveling on the westbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue toward Philcoa when it was hit from behind by a Hilltop Tours Bus being driven by Michael Surel.
