Cooperative Advocacy Run today

AROUND 700 runners are expected to answer today’s starting gun for the Cooperative Advocacy Run of the Cebu City Cooperative Development Council (CDC), the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region VII and the Cebu City Leaders Council (CLC) at the Plaza Independencia.

The race will offer 3-kilometer, 5k and 10k distances.

Cash prizes will be given away to the top 10 winners in the 5k and 10k race while the 3k winners will only receive medals.

The race is headed by city councilor and chairperson of the CDC Nida Cabrera.

According to race director Raffy Uytiepo, Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama will join the race.

Uytiepo also mentioned that Kenyan runners will be joining the race, which offers a total of P22,000 worth of cash prizes to the winners inclusive of medals. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
