Titans shock Garden Bloom

THE SPRINGDALE Titans surprised Garden Bloom Acres with a hairline 60-59 overtime win  Monday in the Lord of the Rings – Battle of the Villages at the J Centre Mall in Mandaue City.

Javi Bautista, who carried the tempo for the Titans from the start with 10 of his 19 points made in the first quarter, scored the winning drive with six seconds left in the extended period.

Gemuel Omolon tried to save Garden Bloom, combining for 11 points in the final canto and overtime for a total of 16 points but couldn’t  finish off the job in this tournament presented by Jonie’s Flavored Chicken.

Meanwhile, Hermag Village sealed their place as the topseed in Bracket B of the adult-open category defeating Villa Leyson, 81-73, with Christopher dela Rama leading the win with 25 points. /pr
