THIEVES HIT MASSAGE PARLOR

FIVE workers lost their belongings with a combined value of P20,000 to unknown thieves who ransacked a massage parlor in barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City.

Police said the belongings were kept in the locker room of Salome Quiboy, 39; Michelle Abellanosa, 27; Liezel Sacadoy, 22; Rosemarie Cañada, 22; and Michelyn Garsula, 20; workers of Ming Thai Spa in Panagdait Street.

Police said the workers were sleeping in a separate room when the burglars struck around 4 a.m. yesterday.

Elizabeth Abellanosa, the spa’s maintenance worker, discovered the break in after noticing that the door of the locker room was destroyed.

Stolen items included jewelery, cell phones and P1,300 cash.

MAN NABBED IN DRUG RAID

A 44-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after police found packs of suspected illegal drugs during a raid in his home in barangay Perrelos, Carcar City, southern Cebu.

Police said 26 packs of suspected shabu kept in three plastic containers were recovered from the house of Renaldo Alcoron past 11 p.m. last Thursday.

The raid was carried out on the basis of a a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Silvestre Maamo Jr..

PO2 Rosendo Binondo of Carcar police said they have been receiving reports that Alcoron was involved in illegal drug trade and was allegedly capable of selling at least 30 packs of suspected shabu a day./Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito

ARMED MAN ARRESTED

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after he was caught carrying a firearm in in barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.

An unlicensed .38 revolver loaded with bullets was seized from Felix Maloloy-on, a resident of the barangay.

Members of the Guadalupe police rushed to sitio Sambag 2 past 9 p.m. yesterday after receiving a report of an ongoing illegal gambling activity.

A group of people scampered to different directions when policemen arrived.

Police spotted Maloloy-on and apprehended him after a gun was found in his possession.
