Kenyan Missous bags top plum in Royal Run

KENYAN Abraham Missous was named king of the 16-kilometer race in last Sunday’s Royal Run of Hotel Elizabeth.

Missous crossed the finish line at The Terraces of the Ayala Center Cebu in 59 minutes and 26 seconds to win the men’s 16k title.

Milo Marathon Cebu Leg champion Mary Joy Tabal dominated the distaff side of the 16k with a time of one hour, seven minutes and 25 seconds.

The running event’s  proceeds went to the San Pedro Calungsod Foundation.

Other winners include Jorry Ycong and Jhean Andrin, who emerged on top in the 8k run. Ycong clocked 29:08 while Andrin finished in 36:05.

Michael Estrera lorded the men’s 4k race with a time of 14:40 while Carla Cosep topped the women’s 4k race in 17:36. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
