RAIN OR SHINE and Petron Blaze gun for victories that could shake up the leadership in the ongoing semifinal round of the 36th PBA Governors’ Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Elasto Painters take on the league-leading Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters while the Boosters  face the Barangay Ginebra Kings, who are running second in the standings.

Scoring an upset against their respective foes will allow Petron and Rain or Shine to stay in contention as they both dropped their opening games in the semis.

The Painters squandered a 17-point third quarter lead in their 98-99 loss to the B-Meg Llamados, while the Boosters also wasted a 12-point edge in an 81-88 defeat against the Alaska Aces.

Of the six semifinalists, the Painters have the worst record with four wins and five losses, while the Boosters are at fourth place with a 5-4 (win-loss) records./EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
