Mandaue mayor in Japan to follow-up projects

MANDAUE City Mayor Jonas Cortes yesterday left for a six-day visit to Japan  to attend the first  anniversary of the Asia Public and Private Partnership in Tokyo.

The mayor will also follow up the city’s partnership with Toyo University on renewable energy, solid waste management, traffic system and electric cars.

“They have considered many projects. It is up to them which they will prioritize,” said Roger Paler, head of the Public Information Office.

Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede is the acting mayor until Cortes returns on Saturday.

The first project under Mandaue city’s partnership with Toyo University  is expected to start before the year ends./Correspondent Jucell Marie P. Cuyos
