Vintage Ship, Bomb beat separate foes in Vintage basketball

VINTAGE Ship beat Vintage Shot, 75-68, last Thursday night for its first win in two games and tie its victim at 1-1 while Vintage Bomb (1-1) stunned Vintage Car, 83-81, in the Vintage Ball Club, Inc. (VBCI)-2012, 3rd Conference basketball tournament at the barangay Pooc Sports Complex in Talisay City.

Vintage Shot got off to a, 19-13 lead in the opening period and continued their onslaught in the 2nd stanza to rule the half, 39-34. But Vintage Ship waxed hot in the 3rd period with a blistering, 22-9 run to erect a, 56-48 advantage going to the final quarter.

Allan Cabrera fired a game-high 25 points for Vintage Ship while the duo of Arnel Bas and Dax Tenedora combined for 27 markers. Rickboy Nacario and Marlon Reyes paced Vintage Shot with 20 and 14 points, respectively.

Earlier, Vintage Bomb led in the first three periods and posted its biggest lead of 48-36, at the half. But Vintage Car outscored Vintage Bomb in the fourth, 24-20 but fell short of snatching the win.
