PUJ driver, 8 passengers hurt in road mishap

NINE persons were injured after the passenger jeepney that they rode in hit a motorist in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City.

Police said the jeepney driven by Bruce Pardillo, 32, of barangay Lotupan, Toledo City, hit  a Toyota Hi-Lux that was about to turn left toward the oppoiste lane.

The Hil-lux with plate number YKC-640 was driven by Victor Medina, 44, a resident of barangay Basak, Mandaue.

Pardillo told police that the private car suddenly turned left and it was too late when he stepped on the brake.

Medina was unharmed.

Pardillo and his eight passengers were brought to the Mandaue City Hospital but were later released.
