MAN WITH ‘SHABU ARRESTED

POLICE arrested a man caught carrying packs of suspected shabu in a checkpoint in barangay Umapad, Mandaue City.

Police said two packs containing a white crystalline substance were seized when they frisked Lendon Naparate, a 27-year-old resident of barangay Opao, Mandaue.

Police conducted the checkpoint past 9 p.m. last Saturday after receiving a report that an armed person was spotted in sitio Kalubihan.

Police flagged down Naparate who was driving a blue motorcycle with plate number GS-6555.

Police said Naparate’s male backrider hurriedly got off the motorcycle and ran off.

Naparate resisted but police quickly handcuffed him, said PO1 Melvin Pelayo of Opao police station.

JEWELRY, CASH STOLEN

CASH and valuables worth P78,000 were stolen from a house that was burglarized by unidentified thieves in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

Police said the thieves entered the house of Estifany Tan, 31, by destroying the window at the back of the house.

MAN NABBED FOR HARASSMENT

A MAN was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing his 13-year-old cousin in barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City.

Police said the man was drunk when the incident happened past 2 a.m. last Saturday.

Police said the man and the girl’s families were among the six families who lived in the house.

Police said the victim was already asleep when the man arrived.
