Boy steals motorbike

A 13-year-old boy of B. Rodriguez Street, Cebu City, was arrested yesterday after he stole a motorcycle in barangay Kasambagan.

The minor is detained in the police precinct  awaiting  turnover to a social worker.

Police investigators said welder Ursico Perez was working in a shop in Casal Village when he heard his motorcycle start.

He said the boy was about to drive off with it.

Perez said he  shouted for a  co-worker on the ground floor to stop him.

Carlito Cabusas, 41, arrested the boy and turned him over to the police.

In an interview, the boy said it was his companion,  also a minor, who told him to steal the motorcycle parked on the roadside./CORRESPONDENT CHITO ARAGON
