Sharks make it three straight
THE MANILA Sharks reasserted their dominance of the Cebu Dolphins as they captured their third straight crown by winning, 10-4, in Game 2 to sweep the best-of-three finals series in the Baseball Philippines Series 8 at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium last Sunday.
Jon Jon Robles hit the go-ahead run in the fourth inning before the Sharks came through with a decisive five-run binge in the seventh to clinch the BP Series 8 diadem, their third consecutive in the league. Not even the two-hour rain delay could slow down the Sharks, who took the lead for good when Robles sent Edward Landicho home on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly.
