FOOD enthusiasts got to indulge their taste buds in delicious dishes, mouth-watering desserts and tasty delicacies showcased during the food festival last Oct. 17 at the Banilad National High School (BNHS) gymnasium.

Participants of the food festival were mothers of students of BNHS and Banilad Elementary School and members of the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina Federation in the barangay who are enrolled in the Mothers Livelihood Project under the adopt-a-school program of Aboitiz Foundation Inc.

The food products that they showcased during the day-long activity were breaded pork chop and chicken, spaghetti, siomai, pearl meatball, leche flan, binangkal, pound pie, pineapple pie and banana cupcake. They also prepared delicacies like puto cheese, cuchinta, maja blanca, budbud and biko.

For two years now, these women have been participating in livelihood and other skills training sessions conducted by the team members of Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. to teach them skills that could provide them another way to earn money.
