BOY DROWNS OFF INAYAWAN

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy drowned while fishing with friends in the waters off the South Road Properties in Cebu City.

The body of Joemar Ylaya was found floating off the shore of barangay Inayawan past 5 a.m. yesterday.

His mother said Joemar had asked permission from her past 11 p.m. last Tuesday to go out fishing with his four friends.

The boy’s companions went ashore for help when Joemar disappeared. They turned to barangay tanods who contacted the Bantay Dagat whose members conducted a search and rescue operation.

Because it was high tide, the search was stopped and resumed the next morning.

WOMAN NABBED FOR ‘MASIAO’

A 30-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested for alleged involvement in masiao in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

Police also filed a charge of drug possession yesterday against Neriluz Bolotaolo after two packs of suspected shabu were allegedly recovered from her.

PO1 Jerson Entic said he caught the woman in the act of issuing number combinations to customers in E.O. Perez Street past noon last Tuesday.

Entice said he was on his way to the Subangdaku police precinct when HE saw the woman selling.
