DSWD calls on public to help locate kin of abandoned kids

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the parents and relatives of the children.

A baby boy named Renante Generalao was left by his mother along the sidewalk in a loading station stall in R. Padilla Fatima Street, barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City last Aug. 14 at 3 a.m. by Jimmy Generalao. The baby is around two to three weeks old.

A baby boy identified as Augustin Aton was found by Mrs. Felipa Montebon Querubin at a garbage area at the back of Gaisano Island Mall in Lapu-Lapu City last Aug. 8 at 2 a.m.

Baby girl Angela Faith Narboada was left by her mother Mary Ann (family name not known), who is reportedly from Catmon town in northern Cebu last Sept. 5 to Angelyn Narboada in Rodilla’s Parlor in Lilo-an town. Angelyn is a beautician from Consolacion, Cebu.

The DSWD-7 is requesting the parents, relatives or friends of these minors to see social worker Annalisa Gubalane or Rosalina Tatoy at the DSWD-7 office on M.J. Cuenco Avenue, Cebu City or call 416-7646.

Failure of the parties to appear or claim the children within one month will subject the latter for abandonment.
