LUCENA CITY—An undetermined number of passengers were hurt when a Manila-bound passenger bus that lost its brakes fell into a 30-foot ravine Sunday afternoon in Pagbilao, Quezon.

The Quezon police said there was no casualty but some of the 50 bus passengers were injured and rushed to Jane County hospital in Pagbilao.

The AB Liner bus (DXL-490) was descending the zigzag diversion road in Sitio Amao in Barangay Silangan Malicboy, at around 3 p.m. when the bus suddenly encountered brakes trouble and fell down the cliff, police said.

The bus came from Calauag town and was headed towards Alabang in Muntinlupa. It was being driven by Banaag Gregorio Delin, Velasquez said. Delfin Mallari Jr., Inquirer Southern Luzon
