MANILA, Philippines—The National Capital Region Police Office will honor a Manila Police District officer who was killed by riding-in-tandem suspects in Manila over the weekend, a report from Radyo Inquirer 990AM said Tuesday.

The report said Police Officer 1 Ryan Bagadiong will be given a posthumous award by NCRPO director, Chief Superintendent Leonardo Espina, who will visit the officer’s wake later Tuesday.

It also said that the widow of Bagadiong will also receive financial assistance from NCRPO.

The suspects stopped, but allegedly grabbed Bagadiong’s service firearm and shot him.

The report said the cop was lying on the ground for about 30 minutes, but no one came to help him and someone even took a video of him wounded. A medical technology student who happened to pass by the area saw his condition and rushed him to the hospital.
