Telco sets orientation on dynamic learning
SMART Communications Inc. and PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) are giving schools the opportunity to be part of the successful Central Visayan Institute Foundation-Dynamic Learning Program (CVIF-DLP), an innovative learning method that has changed the Philippine education.
Developed by 2010 Ramon Magsaysay awardees and internationally published physicists, Dr. Christopher and Dr. Ma. Victoria Carpio-Bernido, the CVIF-DLP was designed to meet the challenges of basic education in the country. The Bernido couple piloted the implementation of the DLP in CVIF, a small school in Jagna, Bohol owned by the mother of Dr. Chris Bernido.
Smart, in partnership with PSF, will be holding a series of workshops on the CVIF-DLP in key cities nationwide. To jumpstart the rollout of CVIF-DLP for the next school year, half-day orientations will be held simultaneously in Metro Manila and the cities of Baguio, Pampanga, Naga, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao on Oct. 23 and 25.
Smart and PSF are organizing the seminar to give education stakeholders and practitioners the lowdown on the innovative teaching method and how it could greatly improve the quality of education in the country.
The seminar is open to schools division superintendents and division supervisors of public elementary and high schools, as well as school directors and heads from private elementary and high schools. Home school educators and representatives of other educational institutions are welcome to attend.
