MARIVELES, Bataan—A former town mayor has urged a municipal trial court to exclude Juan Miguel R. Bondoc, more popularly known as actor Onemig Bondoc, from the voters’ list of the local Commission on Elections office here because he does not reside here.

Bondoc reportedly wants to run for Bataan congressman.

Oscar de los Reyes, former Mariveles mayor, petitioned the court on Sept. 27, alleging that Bondoc has not been a Mariveles resident on the days preceding his registration as a voter. He also said Bondoc  had not been seen at the address where he claimed to reside.

De los Reyes cited the testimony of two other Balon Anito residents, Lorenzo Hernandez and Fidel Tolentino, that Bondoc has not lived in the house he claims to be his Mariveles address.

“Bondoc continues to do business in Metro Manila and that he and his family continue to stay in their house at La Combre Estate, Capitol Hills, Quezon City,” De los Reyes said in his petition before the court.

On Friday, Bondoc confirmed his congressional plans and told reporters that he had resided in Mariveles as a youth. He showed reporters his community residence certificate to prove that he is a resident of Barangay Balon Anito.

Bondoc also allowed reporters to take photographs of his parents’ house, which is now under renovation. Greg Refraccion, Inquirer Central Luzon
