An elderly woman was killed before dawn Tuesday after she was sideswiped by a speeding vehicle on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.

Josefina Perez, 50, a resident of Barangay Old Balara, was identified through a card she carried in her purse.

Police were unable to identify the vehicle which hit the woman as the driver did not stop. Perez’s body was found near an outpost of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority at the corner of Tandang Sora and Commonwealth Avenues.
