Proper court should hear Gadapan’s raps vs PDEA chief’s wife – Honasan

MANILA, Philippines—Allegations being thrown by sacked Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency deputy Carlos Gadapan against the wife of PDEA chief Jose Gutierrez should not be included in the Senate inquiry, but must be taken to the proper court for resolution, Senator Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan II said Tuesday.

In an interview with anchors Susan K, Den Macaranas and Captain Dylan Halili of “Good Morning Inquirer” on Radio Inquirer 990AM, Honasan said that unless the “personal” accusations being thrown to Gutierrez’s wife will be found relevant in aid of legislation, these issues should be filed to a particular court to be heard for possible administrative, civil, or even criminal liability.

Honasan, who chairs the Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs, said they are currently waiting for the formal report tagging Gutierrez’s wife, which will be subjected to evaluation by the committee so as to determine whether the information can be used as evidence.
