MAN, BOY NABBED FOR DRUGS

A 44-YEAR-OLD man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.

Oliver Sabanal Vilvesre allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu worth P200 to a police decoy. Police also arrested the boy when the buy-bust money was recovered from his possession.

The operation was conducted last Thursday morning by operatives of the City Intelligence Branch (CIB) of the Cebu City police.

A POLICEMAN in Mandaue City became the latest victim of thieves preying on parked motorcycles.

PO1 Joram Gerundio, 25, lost his motorcycle which was parked outside Insular Mall last Tuesday night.

The policeman had gone to the mall for a workout session. He was on his way home when he discovered that his motorcycle was missing.

MAN KILLLED IN ROAD MISHAP

A 61-YEAR-OLD man died while his wife and a 19-year-old college student was wounded when the tricycle he was driving hit a parked motorcycle in barangay Kangwayan, Madridejos town, northern Cebu.

Police said the accident occurred when Siuforiano Pastiteo avoided an oncoming vehicle around 2 p.m. last Wednesday.

As Pastiteo avoided a collision, he hit a motorcycle parked at the side of the road.

Elnalyn Ybañez, a college student of the Salazar Institute of Technology (SIT) in Cebu City, was sitting on the parked motorcycle when it was hit by the triycle.

Pastiteo hit his head on the iron roof of the tricycle, while his wife was thrown off the motorcycle.
