/ 05:32 AM September 21, 2012

The Jesuit Volunteers Philippines Foundation Inc. has launched a book of personal essays titled “Kusang-loob: Celebrating Thirty Years of the Jesuit Volunteers Philippines.”

The 30 essays, written by alumnae of the Jesuit Volunteers Philippines (JVP), recount humorous and heartwarming experiences, including the decision to join the group, living and working in the area of service, and the challenges of continuing to live by JVP’s core values after the volunteer year.

JVP was established in 1980 and has sent over 800 men and women to schools, parishes, and nongovernment organizations all over the country. For inquiries and orders of the book, interested parties may call Glenn Fernandez at (+632) 426-5908, 0917.885.8734, or 0908.883.4154, or e-mail [email protected].
