Caloocan cops catch thieves wanted in Manila

Two motorcycle thieves wanted by Manila policemen were arrested yesterday in Caloocan City.

The two were identified as Michael de Guzman, 25, a resident of Corregidor Street in Manila and Eric de la Cruz, 28, a resident of Libis Talisay in Barangay 12, Caloocan City.

A police report from Caloocan police chief Senior Supt. Jude Santos showed the two were spotted entering a motel on A. Mabini Street on motorcycles that did not have license plates at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

When the police asked to see the documents for their vehicles, the two failed to do so and were arrested.

A check of their motorcycles led to the seizure of lock picks and screwdrivers which the police believe were being used by the two men in their illegal activities.

A record check later showed that the two were facing arrest warrants for robbery with violence and intimidation in the Manila Regional Trial Court. Nathaniel R. Melican
