Woman dies in road mishap

A 37-YEAR-OLD woman was killed after she was hit by a wayward passenger jeepney in barangay Poblacion, Naga City, southern Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Maria Victoria Saramosing, a production clerk of APO Cement Corp. in barangay Tinaan.

Police said the woman was hit by a jeepney driven by 37-year-old Francis Villegas while she stood by the road at past 5 a.m. yesterday.

Police said Villegas tried to avoid a tricycle which had crossed in an intersection. Villegas lost control of the wheel and swerved to the other lane where Saramosing stood.

MAN CAUGHT MOLESTING GIRL

A 52-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after he was allegedly caught molesting a two year-old girl in his house in barangay Tanke, Talisay City, southern Cebu.

Police said two children saw Segundino Labajo, 52, grab the girl and brought her to his house last Saturday afternoon.

The two children reported to the girl’s parents who then sought help from barangay tanods.

Police said the man was caught with his shorts off while touching the girl’s private parts. He was brought to the Talisay police station. /CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
