Arroyo tweets she’s suffering from severe dehydration

MANILA, Philippines – Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is suffering from severe dehydration, she said over Twitter on Thursday.

The Pampanga lawmaker said over the social networking site how she was treating her condition by “drinking lots of tap water with non-iodized sea salt.”

A “naturalist practitioner” had pointed out to Arroyo how dehydration may be contributing to her “recurring spinal problems.” She said that she would regularly visit the hospital to receive intravenous medication.

The lawmaker recently underwent stemcell treatment aside from other natural therapies. She mentioned that she was continuing her weekly physical therapy at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center.
