San Isidro, San Roque march to semis of UBCA

THE Yati-San Isidro and Quiot-San Roque teams beat separate foes to march to the semifinal round of the Upper Bayanihan Catholic Association (UBCA)-2012 Basketball Association at the barangay Quiot Sports Complex.

Quiot-San Roque topped Dorothy Grace, 90-81 while Yati-San Isidro dumped Suran, 105-81.

Quiot-San Roque leaned on a solid first half performance to neutralize Dorothy Grace’s hot third quarter shooting to win by nine points.

Ronnie Ruiz led Quiot-San Roque with 19 points while Roy Abacajan paced Dorothy Grace with 28 markers.

In the other game, Yati-San Isidro led from start to finish for the 24-point victory.

Danrey Baclay and Ronald Sevellejo led Yati-San Isidro with 17 points apiece while Nonie Sabandeja and Allan Borces led Suran with 20 and 12 points, respectively.

The semifinal battles will be played on Sunday with Grace Bostolits battling Quiot-San Roque with Yati-San Isidro facing Mayupay-ICC Pharmacy.
