A retired military man was shot dead in Quezon City Tuesday morning, a report from 990 AM said.

MANILA, Philippines — A retired military man was shot dead in Quezon City Tuesday morning, a report from 990 AM said.

Abelardo Manangan, 52, a sergeant from the Philipine Army was killed by two unidentified men, the report said.

Manangan, is a resident of Katarungan street, , the report said.

The incident happened at 6:05 a.m. along Katuparan street in Commonwealth village Quezon said the report.

Quoting Jenifer Manangan, wife of the victim, the report said that they were buying bread from a nearby store when she heard a gunshot and was shocked when she realized that it was her husband who was shot.

The suspects shot the victim two times.

They immediately boarded a red Honda Wave motorcycle and fled, the report said.
