Unhappy with taxi service? Complain

All taxis and public utility vehicles are  required to  post stickers or signs of the hotline number of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to encourage feedback about their service.

The sign “May reklamo ka? Itawag sa LTFRB,”  with the phone number must appear, with the vehicle plate number, notice of the 20 percent discount for senior citizens, disabled and students privileges and the maximum passenger capacity.

This a condition for the issuance of a franchise or  permit to operate public utility transport.

Violators face a fine of P1,000 for a signle offense said Rey Elnar of the LTFRB 7 in Cebu.

The memorandum order from the LTFRB imposing this requirement was issued last April 24, 2012.
