Robredo’s death should spark good governance revolution – Biazon
MANILA, Philippines – Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Ruffy Biazon on Tuesday joined the nation in mourning the death of Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo, saying that his death should mark the start of a “good governance” revolution.
“Like Ninoy’s (late senator Benigno Aquino Jr) passing on Aug. 21 started a freedom revolution, let Aug. 21 be the start of a good governance revolution in Sec. Jesse’s name,” Biazon said in his twitter account @ruffybiazon.
Biazon hailed Robredo as “a good family man, worthy to lead the people” adding the Cabinet official tried his best to balance his role as a father, a husband, and a public servant.
He also posted in his twitter account that all offices of the BOC around the country lowered their flags at half-staff in honor of Robredo.
On Tuesday morning, Transportation and Communication Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II broke the news that technical divers recovered Robredo’s body 800 meters from the shore at a depth of 180 feet at past 8 a.m.
