MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine National Police (PNP) mourned the passing of Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo Tuesday and flew the Philippine flag at half-mast in all police camps.

“The entire 147,000 men and women of the PNP mourn the demise of the father of the Department of Interior and Local Government, Secretary Jesse Robredo,” Director General Nicanor Bartolome, PNP Chief, said in a statement released Tuesday.

“All PNP camps are hoisting the national colors at half-mast as an expression of our great respect to a great man and a good leader who steered the DILG-PNP family through the straight and narrow path of proper public service,” Bartolome said.
