Philippine Navy chopper didn’t crash, just precautionary landing

MANILA, Philippines—A Philippine Navy helicopter didn’t crash, as earlier reported, but made a precautionary landing along the shoreline of Buenavista village in Donsol, Sorsogon, Tuesday morning.

Navy spokesman Colonel Omar Tonsay said a Bo 105 was on aerial reconaissance of the missing Interior and Local Government Secretary Jessie Robredo and his companions when it made the precautionary landing due to slight engine trouble.

The pilots and the passengers were safe, said Tonsay.

Meanwhile, Office of Civil Defense in Bicol said there were two pilots, two personnel and one TV crew inside the chopper.
