Volunteer divers arrive for Robredo search and rescue

MANILA, Philippines — Volunteer divers have arrived Monday and will join the search and rescue operations for Interior and Local Government Secretary Jessie Robredo and his companions who were missing since Saturday.

“3pers civilian team from Evolution Resort in Malapasqua hir already, their tank full so ready to go + they have 1 rebreather… so they can stay longer,” Transport Secretary Mar Roxas said in his Twitter account.

Target depth of the deep diving was 200 ft, said Roxas.

“Eta water is 40 min. Max bottom time is 45 min,” he added.

Roxas on Sunday said they will plot on Monday the sonar findings collected for the divers’ search pattern.
