Even after being exposed in this space for her compulsive gambling, the wife of a top official of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) hasn’t left the gambling tables.
“Inggit lang siya sa akin dahil may pansugal ako at siya ay wala (He’s just envious because I have money to gamble while he has none),” the woman was quoted as telling her fellow gamblers.
She was obviously referring to me.
Yes, ma’am, you have the money to gamble but where does your husband get your gambling money— from drug traffickers?

A Chinoy friend told me his relative, who was arrested on suspicion of financing a drug syndicate, was fleeced of P8 million by PDEA agents.
Despite coughing out the amount, the suspect was still charged with drug trafficking, according to my friend.
I’m not sure whether the gambling woman’s husband was involved involved in the P8-million caper.

Senior Supt. Neri Andal Ilagan, chief of staff of the Quezon City Police District, is facing a case for grave misconduct at the National Police Commission.
The case stems from a sex video where he is allegedly the actor and director, a la disgraced medical doctor Hayden Kho.

The foreigners who were charged recently with unlawful trading in securities should have been deported a long time ago.
Apparently, British and Australian nationals Jonathan Thorp, Thomas Whitwell, Alfonso Cervero, Mathew Freeston, Andrew Yates, Ian Sinclair, Keith Warne and Faisal Durrani-Khan, pulled some strings after this column exposed their illegal activity years ago.
They were charged with the illegal selling of membership shares of Nomad Sports Club, where they are all officers.
It’s surprising they have not been arrested by the Bureau of Immigration and held in custody at the immigration jail in Bicutan, Taguig City.
