Schools conduct relief operations for flood victims
MANILA, Philippines—Several schools have started conducting relief operations for flood victims.
In tweets posted in the INQUIRER.net weather live tweets, Enderun Colleges and De La Salle University called for donations for flood victims.
In a statement posted in its Facebook website, Enderun Colleges said it was accepting any form of donation like canned goods, water, bread, medicine, old clothes, or cash for the flood victims.
“Please drop them off at our campus at 1100 Campus Ave, McKinley Hill, Taguig City,” it said.
Help for 500 evacuees
Father Jeffrey Aytona from the De La Salle University called on residents living near the Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City to help provide food and drinks to around 400 to 500 evacuees now staying in the church.
Article continues after this advertisement“We prefer food, water, and some dry clothes. Please bring your help at the Sto. Domingo Info Lobby,” it said in a statement posted on its Facebook account.

De La Salle Zobel, Gate 7, University Avenue, Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City (Contact persons: Jayjay Jacinto of the Social Action Office at 09178597602)
Manila Tytana Colleges, formerly Manila Doctors College, was also accepting relief items, particularly easy-to-open canned goods, water, blankets, and baby clothes.
“For concerns about relief donation, please text Community Extension Head, Ava Chua, at 0917.846.24.82. Thank you,” it said on its Twitter account.
Ateneo database for relief operations
Ateneo De Manila University, on its Facebook account, said that it’s Ateneo Dream Team was accepting donations at its Cervini Lobby.
The Ateneo Dream Team also urged people to fill up a database it created so that it could help monitor the situation of people in different areas. The database contains information on the status of different flooded areas, the relief needed, and contact numbers. The database can be accessed through the site: fb.me/2bPj6T8Tp
