Senior Inspector Erlito Renegin, chief of the Quezon City Police District’s Traffic Sector 3, said that Ang and his cohorts—Luis Gello Cruz and Joshua Mendoza—were running on the busy thoroughfare after snatching the earrings of a woman when the victim was hit by a passenger bus which did not stop.

A police team which was passing by the area saw the commotion and arrested Cruz and Mendoza who now face charges. On the other hand, investigators said they were still trying to track down the bus which hit the victim after witnesses failed to take note of its name. Julie M. Aurelio
