Busy 17 hours for burglars in Quezon City

Burglars struck thrice within a span of 17 hours in Quezon City and made off with electronic gadgets and cash from their victims who, by coincidence, were all businessmen.

Reports reaching the Quezon City Police District showed that the burglaries took place from 5 p.m. on Tuesday until 10 a.m. the following day.

Rene Garcia, 56, told the police that he lost P13,000 in cash plus a cell phone worth P20,000 to the thieves who entered his house on Tomas Morato Avenue by wrecking the roof.

Another victim, Melanie Hugo, 40, reported the theft of a laptop computer worth P45,000 on top of P49,000 in cash.

She told the police that the burglars entered her unit in the Quesada Building at the corner of Edsa and Quezon Avenue by picking the lock.

The third victim, the owner of the Super Pau Internet Cafe in Barangay Damayan, told the police that he lost nine computers and other equipment valued at more than P80,000.
