2 men found dead in Batangas
BATANGAS CITY, Philippines — Two young men, believed to be victims of summary killings, were found dead in the barangay road of Banaba South here early Thursday, police said.
Superintendent Arcadio Ronquillo, Batangas City’s police information officer, said passers-by found the bodies of the two men, with ages ranging from 18 to 25 years old, at about 6 a.m. Thursday. They were blindfolded, had gunshot wounds on their heads, and both of their hands were tied with nylon rope and electrical cord.
Attached to the body of one of the victims was a note that said: “Magnanakaw Kami, wag tularan (We are thieves. Don’t be like us)”
The Batangas City police have been determining the identities of the victims and the killers, Ronquillo said.
