Arroyo freed after posting P1M bail
MANILA, Philippines—Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was freed Wednesday after posting P1- million bail before the Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 112.
Pasay Court Judge Jesus Mupas signed the release order around Wednesday noon, according to TV reports.
Earlier, he said the evidence against the former president is weak.
The order came after hearing the testimony of former Maguindanao Provincial Administrator Norie Unas.
The release order is about to be brought to Camp Crame before sending to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center, where Arroyo has been on hospital arrest since November last year.
