MAN NABBED FOR DRUGS
A 43-YEAR-OLD man was arrested in a drug-buy bust operation in barangay Banilad, Mandaue City.
Police said Radney Picaplaza sold a pack of suspected shabu worth P200 to a poseur buyer around 10 p.m. last Saturday.
Police said two small sachets with white crystalline substance were recovered from the man’s possession after the arrest.
The man was detained at the Casuntingan police precinct pending the filing of charges against him, police said./REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
MAN FOUND DEAD IN MANDAUE
Article continues after this advertisementA MAN was found hanging dead inside his house in barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City yesterday afternoon.
Article continues after this advertisementPolice identified the fatality as Jonard Banaquisio, 35.
Police said it was Joel Rematizo, 39, who found Banaquisio suspended from a beam of the house with a blanket tied around his neck.
Rematizo and Banaquisio had been living together for 20 years, said police.
Police said there were no signs of foul play in the man’s death.
