Heavy rains cancel baseball games

THE CRUCIAL semifinal matches in the Baseball Philippines Series 8 has been postponed to today due to the heavy rains last Friday that soaked the Rizal Memorial baseball field.

Weather permitting, the matches pitting Manila against Taguig and Cebu versus Batangas will be held today with the Sharks facing off with the Patriots at 9 a.m. and the Dolphins taking on the Bulls at 1 p.m.

The Sharks and the Dolphins, who took the top two spots in the semis, need only to win once over their respective rivals to arrange a title showdown in the league in the league organized by Community Sports Inc. and sponsored by Gatorade and Rawlings with Harbour Centre, The Heritage Park, Emperador Distillers, among others./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
