Cops get computer lesson

MEMBERS of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LLCPO) yesterday underwent a seminar on computer proficiency.

Most of the 69 policemen admitted they didn’t know how to use computers.

The training was conducted by Senior Insp. Michael Ignacio, chief of the Regional Information Technology Office of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).

Members of the Digital Forensic Laboratory (DFL) also helped falcilitate the training.

Joseph Marvis Ico, crime investigator 1 of DFL, said they were asked by PRO-7 director Marcelo Garbo to conduct the training since there are at least 1,700 policemen in Central Visayas who don’t know how to use computer. The next  training will be held in Bohol, Negros and Siquijor./CORRESPONDENT FE MARIE D. DUMABOC
